Are you ready? This is where you can find out how to prepare yourself, your family
and your business for emergencies which can happen in Wiltshire, including floods,
power cuts and pandemic flu.

Wingfield Parish Council’s Community Emergency Plan
The Community Emergency Plan helps Wingfield to prepare for an emergency and reduce its impact.  The plan coordinates local information and resources for emergencies, while recognising that larger incidents will require broader support from emergency services and other agencies.

The Emergency Hub Supervisor will take the lead in overseeing the Plan’s use in an emergency so anyone in the community can get involved.

Wingfield’s Emergency Hub is The Poplars Pub:
Shop Lane, Frome Road, Wingfield, BA14 9LP
Phone: 01225 752426
Email: info@poplarsinn.co.uk

Want to get involved?
The Parish council is keen to hear from residents who would be willing to be part of
the Wingfield Community Emergency Plan team.
We are looking for:
Street Contacts – who can be called upon to check on vulnerable residents and report issues like blocked road drains or empty salt bins to Wiltshire Council
Weather Wardens – whether it is a snow event or a flood can you help the community coordinate a response
Responders – people who have access to equipment like a 4×4, a generator, etc or have practical skills that can be called upon.
