People who are interested in the outcome of an appeal “interested people” (often also called “third parties”, “interested parties” or “interested persons”) have an important role to play in the planning process. Their representations indicating support for, or opposition to, a proposed scheme are taken into account along with other material considerations.

2.9.2. “Guide to taking part in” documents explain how interested people can get involved in the appeal process. They are available for the following appeal procedures:

If you have written a comment previously, you are an “interested persons” and may wish to have your voice heard by Wiltshire Council and the planning officer.  If this is the case then please renew your comments once the appeal becomes live.

Please note that the Inspector can only take into account information and evidence that is relevant to the appeal. This could cover a wide range of issues, but those that apply are usually set out in the LPA’s decision notice.

The Wildlife Ramble

The Wildlife Ramble Was a Success!

A massive thank you to Dave Green, botanist & ecologist, for his wonderful ramble through St Mary’s Churchyard.  Thank you also Revd. Ali Green for organising the event and Caroline Furnell for posting about the ramble on the Wingfield Parish Council Facebook Group.

A truly inspiring and informative time was had by all as we walked around the beautiful St Mary Church in Wingfield and learnt about the rich array of flora.  The river of flowers and  cacophony of birdsong is due to the grounds being allowed to grow into a mini meadow of wild flowers where wildlife can flourish, rather than the more traditional looking neatly mown grass.  We learnt about edible mushrooms, the sweet hit one can enjoy from red clovers and how to know your ‘Cow Parsley’ from your ‘Hemlock’.

If you were unable to make the event, but would love to know more, please visit Wiltshire Botanical Society for more information.  If more walks like this are something that interest you, please let us know and we will look to organising more events like this in the future.
